I love their relationship so much #luz really went from calling Lilith a bitch in the only way the disney channel would allow to being like. okay she's pathetic #in the first few episodes of season 2 and then by elsewhere and elsewhen when Lilith is visibly doing better luz is so supportive #of like. her new job and hobbies and stuff #and Lilith is still the same cringe fail slug woman we all know and love but she cares about Luz!#she wants to help her and share her interests with her!#they're so lame together and I adore them soooo much. adhd and autism best friends forever (real)#this was a quick doodle that i put way too mucn effort into colouring and posing wise to not post #I'm proud of the shading not bc it's especially intricate or pretty #but because the process was entirely me colour picking each individual colour and futzing with it until i got coherent shading #it's not something i do often but i love to practice it cause i feel like it improves my colour sense #and also allows me to micro manage the palette #like how Luz's azura outfit and the inside of her mouth and Lilith's skin are all the same shade of off-white #BUT i gave Lilith's a warmer shading tone (bc it's skin and has blood beneath it) while Luz's teeth has a yellow shading cast #(since that's the colour teeth turn w/o enamel and most ppls teeth is a yellowy off-white anyway) and then Luz's outfit has a teal cast!#bc i wanted white fabric to look different to pale white skin or teeth #that's such a niche thing to have fun doing and appreciate abt my own work but like. it's there!#I'm not a master of colour by any means it's just nice to be able to do that

Oh uh you-know-what AU doc just drop and all I can say is that "great concept poor execution" to put it nicely, you can kind of see where they started to loss interest by the end of the story

Overall 4/10 there was no funk trolls

im only about 15 pages into the doc (sorry. i know i shouldnt read something i know i wont like but you know me. im a dedicated hater) and all ill say is that this is like a master class of what not to do in terms of character design

#ask #for all of you getting your start in character design #99/100 times you want it to Communicate something about the character #especially with tr0lls #anything from 'this character rolls their trousers up but theres already some mud stains on the legs so you know theyre outdoorsy'#to 'theyre rich so theyre wearing super fancy clothes and (almost) always have a haughty expression'#to 'they wear glasses which means theyre a Nerd'#none of these character designs say literally anything about anyone #the closest ive gotten so far is bruce being vaguely love themed #and his colour palette high key sucks anyway. sorry. the hater jumped out again.#anyway im glad they can move on now

I already knew this but yellow and purple being on opposite sides of the colour wheel... Ludger being associated with yellow (his ties, his Chromatus, and a number of his concept art colour palettes) and violet eyed Elle—

(In seriousness, this is probably more to do with Lara, but lemme sound silly for a bit 😋)

#im trying to figure out victor’s redesign colour palette. motherfucker has a lot of choices...#his concept art basically all go with red or yellow or just plain grey #im tempted to go with yellow. especially since he skews closer to being ‘ludger’ than he does ‘victor’#but. i might just stick with the green from victor’s canon suit 😂#partially because ive already commissioned a number of art with it #and partially because. yellow doesnt work well with black unless its very bright or only used as an accent #and its just a bit silly looking if you desaturate it or make it too dark #and i do still want the contrast of elle dressing in light colours and victor in darker ones #yes ive reached that stage of overthinking my choices.#IM NORMAL ABOUT THESE TWO OKAY.#v #x2

I always get scared to use fancy words to describe my guys bc 0% of it is intentional but. miles crow and zeus “birch” nocere are opposites down to most of their colour palettes and their development over their lives. None of you will understand this but I do

#miles being praised most his life and developing such a strong sense of self and overwhelming amount of confidence that he believes he can #do no wrong. and he first channels this into doing what’s very much right but the need to keep doing it corrupts him and he still refuses t #believe he is wrong because he simply cannot be #vs #Zeus who was never given much attention in his youth and especially not positive attention and it led to him losing his sense of identity #and committing horrible acts because he just wanted to be given something which led to him accidentally getting a tv on his head #and that being his wake up call to perhaps pull back and stop hurting others but also still lacking good enough morals to really know how t #be good instead of cruel. but he tries and he knows he was wrong to do it #MILES HAS A WHITE AND YELLOW COLOUR PALETTE.
